Hopefully everyone has made their plans to be part of the Harbor to Harbour 2008 NAFYR Reunion
Cruise this August.  What a wonderful time it will be ... great ship, great itinerary, great group of
friends and colleagues.  

Now is the time to begin to plan your travel experiences for 2009.  Hopefully, you are considering
one or more of the NAFYR Travel Club offerings.  Each one is quite different.  There are two
international travel experiences
and one domestic experience.  

The first trip is to Portugal.  That's right, the unique travel destination filled with ancient castles,
charming villages, Roman ruins, fairy tale palaces,
and soft sand beaches.  The time of year is perfect for site seeing
and gives us "budget prices."  It is eleven days of scenic and historical sights beginning February
27.  We conclude on March 9, 2009 with an evening in Barrio Alto - the heart of Lisbon's Fado music
district.  
Deadline for your deposit is August 23, 2008, so start making plans now.

The next trip is to Branson, Missouri, for a musical getaway.  The dates are April 24 - 29, 2009.  
Here's a little sample of some of the things you'll do:
Doug Gabriel show, Shoji Tabuchi (Branson's most popular show),
Branson Variety Theater, Silver Dollar City, Dutton Family Theatre, Yakov Smimoff, "Ride the Ducks,"
and the Hughes Brothers.
If you'd like, you can meet with  NAFYR's Greater Ozark Chapter
right before the Branson Musical Getaway.
Deposit is required by November 20, 2008.

The Blue Danube River Discovery Cruise is the third trip.  It is really something else!  A new and
beautiful, state-of-the-art ship takes you to destinations most road travelers will never see.  Scenic
vistas, all-inclusive site-seeing tours, magnificent cathedrals, cultural cities, gourmet meals,
entertainment ... from Budapest to Prague.  
This will be the trip of a life time.  
The dates for the trip are August 17 - 24, 2009,
but you'll need to get your deposit in by October 20, 2008.  

August 2008 will a busy time for NAFYR members.  
Going on the Harbour to Harbour Cruise,
plus getting your deposit in for either the Sunny Portugal Trip
or Blue Danube River Cruise (or both!).

We enjoyed our YMCA retiree tour of Portugal.  It was a delightful and warm
vacation place filled with history and beautiful sights.  We toured fishing
villages, Lisbon, the cliffsides of the Atlantic, an artistic tile fabricator, a
vineyard,  and many other lovely places.  We would recommend this as a
wonderful tour for anyone.
